Women's soccer knocked out of post-season at Durham

OSHAWA, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's soccer team (4-5 OCAA) saw their season come to a close Saturday, falling 4-0 to Durham in an OCAA Championship qualifier playoff.

"I thought we held strong for that first 35-40 minutes, but those two late first half goals were tough," head coach Paul Angelini said. "We managed to re-group at halftime, but couldn't climb back in it."

The Bruins nearly got to the half level with the home side, but two Durham goals late (39th minute and 45th minute), saw all of the momentum shift away from the Double-Blue at the interval.

Sheridan was unable to pull level, and a pair of Durham goals in the 75th and 77th minutes, all but sealed the result.
