BRAMPTON, Ont. - The Sheridan Bruins women's basketball team (5-6, 3-4 OCAA) was humbled by the No. 1 team in the country, suffering a 103-33 loss to Humber. 

"There's not much you can say about this game. Humber is an excellent team and they played like one," head coach Willie Delas said. "Things like this will happen from time-to-time, we're not going to let it discourage us though. We want to get to the level they're at and we know we need to work even harder in order to get there."

Humber was all over Sheridan from the opening tip, with an inside-out attack getting buckets in the paint and opening opportunities on the perimeter. 

They hit five three-pointers in the first quarter - for context only seven of 19 OCAA teams average five made threes in a game - and would connect on 12 in the contest, the fifth time they've hit double digit threes this season. 

Two massive Humber runs told the story a 14-0 first quarter run, and a 22-0 run that spanned from late first until midway through the second period.

Sheridan will look to re-group and rebound when they host Niagara (6-2) on Nov. 28 (6pm).
