Lords return to win column on trip to North Bay

NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team has moved one step closer to locking up third place in the OCAA east division after a 90-73 win over the Canadore Panthers on Saturday afternoon.

With two games remaining the Lords' magic number to confirm a third-place finish. Durham needs to win one game or have the Centennial Colts lose one of their final games to lock up their spot in the standings.

So far in 2019 the Lords have won seven of eight games, with their only loss coming at home on Thursday against the first-place Seneca Sting.

They wrap up conference play at home next weekend when they host the La Cité Coyotes on Saturday at 5 p.m. and Algonquin Thunder on Sunday at 3 p.m.
  •  Three Lords finished with 20-plus points in the victory, led by Julian Hinckson Jr. (Ajax, Ont.) who finished with a game-high 25 points. Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) and Dondre Huggins (Scarborough, Ont.) each added 20 points.
• Jake Rae led the Panthers with 19, while Dejon Campbell and Ryan Roelcke were the only other Canadore players in double-digit scoring.
Julian Hinckson Jr. had 10 boards for his seventh double-double of the year.
• Jake Rae was the Panthers top rebounder with seven.
