PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Durham College women's rugby sevens team is still looking for their first victory, but a better effort in their second tournament of the season saw them come up just four points short of a win.
In the east-west crossover tournament, hosted by the Fleming Knights, the Lords lost 19-15 to the Sheridan Bruins.
Victoria Browne (Pickering, Ont.) scored a pair of tries to lead Durham College's offence, while
Jahmiia Fari (Oshawa, Ont.) scored one try against the Bruins.
Their second game of the day was against the defending champion Seneca Sting, which ended in a 32-5 loss. The Lords' lone try was scored by
Carly Warren (Courtice, Ont.).
Sunday, they wrap up the east-west tournament with matches against the Conestoga Condors and Humber Hawks.
