PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team has won back-to-back games for the first time this season, which comes at a crucial time as the Lords are now two points out of a playoff spot.
Durham defeated the Fleming Knights on Wednesday 81-58 after their two-point victory over the weekend against the Georgian Grizzlies.
Dylan Pelissero (Ridgeway, Ont.) led Durham with 19 points and nine rebounds.
Aaron Hayles (Pickering, Ont.) and
Christoff Pierre (Brampton, Ont.) each dropped 15 points, while
Darian Rowe (Maple, Ont.) was tied with Pelissero for the team-high in rebounds with nine.
Shane Howell led the Knights scoring with 17 points, with Mike Adamo picking up a game-high 14 boards.
The Lords now return home to host the Canadore Panthers on Saturday at the CRWC. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Durham is currently two points out of the final playoff spot with 12. The Loyalist Lancers and Georgian Grizzlies hold the sixth spot in the east with 7-8 records and 14 points.
