Nicholson-Clarke leads Lords in sweep of Lancers

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Loyalist Lancers were without any answers for the Durham College women's volleyball team on Thursday evening, falling in straight sets, as the Lords improved their record to 4-0 on the season.

Following a 25-21 victory in the first set, the Lords threw up a brick wall, stifling any sustained Loyalist offence. They buried the Lancers 25-13 in the second and 25-14 in the third.

Cassidy Nicholson-Clarke (Ajax, Ont.) set the tone on offence and defence, contributing eight kills, eight blocks and 17 total points.

Next up for the Lords is a meeting Wednesday, Nov. 7 in North York with the Seneca Sting, who will be looking to bust out of their 0-3 start. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
  • The Lords' Jessica Joensen (Pickering, Ont.) reigned over the Lancers with a match-high nine kills.
