The Seneca Sting defeated their rivals, the Centennial Colts (2-3), 72-52 to improve to 6-1 on the season.
In a battle between the two close rivals, it was the Colts who jumped out to an early lead after the first quarter, leading 12-10 after the first frame.
Trailing early, the Sting battled back in the second quarter, scoring 29 points as a team to take a 39-29 lead into halftime.
The Sting put the clamps on the Colts in the second half with a strong defensive effort, riding to a twenty-point win.
Taylor Allicock led the Sting with 18 points. Alcian Satchel finished with 9 points and Sarah Givens added 7 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. Brianna-mae Clough and Nicolette Elliott-Gill each added 8 points with Clough contributing 8 rebounds.
Mariam Konate paced the Colts with 13 points and 6 steals. Yasmeen Smith added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Effe Mae Abban contributed 8 points.
