TORONTO, Ont. – The Durham College women's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking 73-71 loss to the George Brown Huskies on Wednesday night.
Unfortunately for the Lords, that is their sixth straight loss against the Huskies and fifth straight in conference play.
The loss is also Durham's third straight this season, two of which were against the Algonquin Thunder, bringing their record to 4-4.
They will have one more chance to earn a victory in 2018 as they return home to host the Loyalist Lancers on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
• The Lords had the better shooting percentage across the board 33.7 per cent from the field, 33.3 per cent from behind the arc and 80 per cent from the free throw line.

Marie Stasiuk (Cobourg, Ont.) tied George Brown's Tianna Sullivan with a game-high 20 points.

Emily Glendinning (Plattsville, Ont.) and
Keisha Arthurworrey (Oshawa, Ont.) each finished with 19 and 14 points respectively.
• Stasiuk led the Lords all around with seven offensive and eight defensive boards for a game-high 15 rebounds and one of two double-doubles for Durham. Arthurworrey finished with 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the year. It was also Stasiuk's third double-double.
• Francesca Bellini finished with a game-high three steals for the Huskies, while Sullivan had a team-high 14 boards.
