The Seneca Sting (8-2) completed their three game season sweep against the Durham Lords (5-6), dropping the Lords 78-69 to go along with two previous wins.

The two teams battled back-and-forth for most of the opening half with neither side gaining an advantage. The Sting led early before the Lords took a slim lead in the second quarter 17-15, thanks to a last-second shot by Taylor Allicock as the buzzer sounded.

A strong second quarter by the Sting saw the team outscore the Lords by seven points to take a 38-33 lead into halftime.

The Sting held a 57-49 lead late in the third quarter, but a turnover by the Sting followed by a pair of Lords baskets closed the gap to four. Looking to make it a one possession game, the Lords drove the lane with seconds remaining in the half, only to have the ball stolen. The Sting pushed the ball up the floor where Melody Lucena made the Sting's second buzzer-beater of the game to extent the lead to six points 59-53.

The fourth quarter saw the Sting extend their lead to double digits, taking a 69-59 with 5:41 remaining. The Lords only cut the deficit to seven points, but were unable to get any closer to the Sting.

Allicock paced the Sting with 29 points and a trio of steals. Danielle Belcher added 17 points and Lucena finished with 10 points. Shenice Stubbs contributed a team-high 12 rebounds while Brianna-mae Clough added 10 rebounds.

Dekota Kirby topped the Lords with 15 points while Keisha Arthurworrey (13 points), Maddie Dender (12 points) and Emily Chamberlain (10 points) all reached double figures. Emily Glendinning had a team-high 5 assists.
