OSHAWA, Ont. – Jessica Broad (Courtice, Ont.) continued to make her mark on the Durham College women's volleyball program on Thursday night as she moved into the top five in Durham College all-time points and kills categories.
Broad picked up 18 points in the match to pass Kerri Fotherby for fifth all-time. She now sits at 521 career points as a Lord heading into Saturday's match against the Trent Excalibur.
With 12 kills against the Lancers, Broad also jumped from sixth all-time to third all-time with 400 kills.
Her performance helped Durham College defeat Loyalist 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-15) at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre to improve the Lords record to 5-1 after Saturday's loss in North Bay to Canadore.
Emily Hacker (Cobourg, Ont.) added eight kills and seven digs, while
Allison Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) picked up seven kills for the Lords.
It was Sara Piana Yafu that led the Lancers offence with seven kills, while she added a team-leading four blocks at the net.
Durham will now travel to Peterborough on Saturday to take on the Trent Excalibur. First serve is scheduled for 1 PM.
