OAKVILLE, Ont. - After playing a tight first half where they saw a lead disappear right before the interval, the Sheridan Bruins men's soccer team (4-1 OCAA) scored twice in the first four minutes of the second half, opening the flood gates for a 6-1 win over UTM. 

"It was a really sluggish start, so the way we opened that second half was key," head coach Andrew Seuradge said. "UTM getting that goal right at the end of the first half they had all the momentum, and we took it back right away." 

Kristian Ceko got the Double-Blue on the board just past the half hour, intercepting a ball in the midfield and running through the UTM defence, before slotting the keeper. 

Although UTM levelled the contest in the final moments of the first half, the Bruins re-claimed and then doubled their advantage within four minutes of play once the second half kicked off. 

Mathew Santos got the game winner in the 46th minute and before setting up Francis Ameyaw three minutes later. 

Both Santos and Ameyaw would complete their braces - Santos from the penalty spot after Emilio Estevez was hauled down in the area - with Jonathan D'Aguilar scoring the final goal for the Bruins. 

After playing two games in three days in abnormally hot weather, Seauradge says a key element to prepare for a visit from their rivals from Humber (Sept. 30, 3:30pm) won't have anything to do with tactics or training. 

"Rest is the number one priority, absolutely," he said. "We managed to sneak in some rest for some guys at points today, but playing twice in a short window, plus the heat will take a little more to recover from."
