Box Score OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's volleyball team have started their OCAA season without a set loss through three matches.
They swept the George Brown Huskies 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-17) at home on Thursday night, their first conference match at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre since opening the season last Thursday, Oct. 22 at Centennial.
Matt McGirr (Brampton, Ont.) led Durham with 11 kills and two service aces in the victory, while
Harrison Wood (Nebraska, U.S.A.) and
Nick Coleman (Brooklin, Ont.) each picked up eight kills apiece.
Mike Harper (Oakville, Ont.) had four blocks to lead Durham at the net, while adding three kills and a service ace.
D'Artaniel Jackman paced the Huskies with seven kills and a block, while Pradeep Bhogal, Romin Karmakov and Oscar Kahu each added two kills.
Durham will now wait until Nov. 7 to take on the Algonquin Thunder at home. First serve will be at 3 p.m.
