PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Durham College women's soccer team was unable to beat Shannon Leitz on Saturday as Leitz and her Fleming Knights defeated the Lords 3-0.
 
Durham found themselves out shot 6-2 in the opening half of play, but only trailed 1-0 at halftime.
 
In the second half Fleming scored early in the 55^th minute to double their lead before eventually pushing their advantage to three goals. The Lords did out shoot the Knights 5-4 in the half, but didn't convert on any of their opportunities.
 
Heather Travis (Oakville, Ont.) made seven saves in the loss for the Lords, while Leitz made seven in the Knights victory.
 
Next weekend Durham will welcome the St. Lawrence Vikings on Saturday before the Cambrian Golden Shield on Sunday. Kickoff against the Vikings is 1 p.m., while Sunday's game will get underway at 12 p.m.
