Hinckson Jr. leads Lords past Knights

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team has won back-to-back games after holding on for a 67-55 win over the Fleming Knights on Tuesday night.
 
For the Lords, they have improved to 46-10 against the Knights all-time, with their most recent loss coming in November 2015.
 
It wasn't guaranteed, despite the latest lead the Knights held was 9-8 in the first quarter. Leading by 16 at most, the Lords allowed Fleming to come within one in the fourth quarter.
 
They will be back in action for only the second time at home this month on Saturday when they host the Canadore Panthers. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre.
 
Heading into Saturday the Panthers are 2-3, while the Lords are 3-4.
  Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.), Durham's leading scoring on the season, finished with a team-high 27 points.
Julian Hinckson Jr. (Ajax, Ont.) had an all-around great night for the Lords, picking up 16 points and 17 boards for the only double-double.
• Santiago Maynard and Shane Howell each scored 14 points to lead the Knights.
  Craig Hanson (Ajax, Ont.) had 13 boards on the night, finishing just two points short of a double-double with eight. He also had a game-high three steals.
• Wayon Thomas had a team-high seven boards for the Knights.
  Overall Record: 6-6
