Nationally ranked Lords still yet to drop a set

OSHAWA, Ont. – After being announced as the No. 10 nationally ranked team in the country earlier this week, the Durham College men's volleyball team continued their hot-streak to start the season, dropping the visiting Seneca Sting in straight sets on Thursday evening at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre. Set scores were 25-15, 25-14, 25-13. 

The Lords are yet to lose a set this season leading the OCAA east division with an unblemished 4-0 record. Seven different DC players recorded five or more points in the victory recording 38 kills as a team to just 12 for the Sting.
 
Durham will face their toughest challenge yet when they travel to Toronto to matchup with the 3-0 George Brown Huskies on Saturday, Nov. 9. Action will start at 3 p.m. with the match being streamed on OCAA LIVE.
  • Competing in his first match of the season, Andrew Dube (Uxbridge, Ont.) led the way with a game-high 13 points from 11 kills and two blocks.
• Fifth-year outside hitter Tyler Krabi (Stouffville, Ont.) and fourth-year middle Lucas Pichl (Cobourg, Ont.) recorded eight points apiece with Krabi six kills and two blocks while Pichl added five kills, an ace, and two blocks.
• Isaiah Fogah was the top scorer for the Sting with six kills, one ace, and one block for eight total points in the loss.
  Liam Gray (Barrie, Ont.) was outstanding in the setter position for the Lords registering 22 assists, while adding three kills, three aces, and a block.
• First-year libero Rouzbeh Rahnavard (Richmond Hill, Ont.) led the way defensively for the second straight match recording a game-high 11 digs.
