LANCERS DROP 3-1 DECISION TO KNIGHTS

The Lancers faced off against the Fleming Knights in their second home performance in only 5 days.

After dropping a 5-0 decision to the Durham Lords in their season opener, the Lancers were looking to redeem themselves with a win against the 0-0-1 Knights.
The Knights came out swinging, catching the Lancers off guard and netting their first of 3 goals less than 2 minutes after kick off.

The Knights continues to dominate the play for the majority of the first half until second year forward Taylor Whiteman (Belleville, ON) scored a beautiful goal at the 44th minute to tie the game and get the Lancers on the board for the first time this season.

The second half showed a different side of the Lancers. They were more controlled, dominant and aggressive against the consistent and relentless Knights. Despite many hard fought defensive battles, the Lancers allowed two more goals in the final 45 minutes to give the visiting team a 3-1 victory and drop their record to 0-2.

The Lancers hit the road for the first time Friday when they travel to Toronto to take on the Seneca Sting. The Sting are currently 1-0 after a 4-0 win against the Centennial Colts Tuesday night in their season opener.
