ST. CLAIR 5, HUMBER 4

TECUMSEH, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's baseball team suffered their first loss of the regular season against Humber College today at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh but rebounded in the second game to split the doubleheader.

Humber (3-0) defeated St. Clair (4-1) by a score of 8-4 in eight innings.

The Saints struggled defensively with some costly errors that led to several runs for Humber. St. Clair forced extra innings with a Jeff Watkin sacrifice fly that scored Chris Horwood run in the bottom seventh inning but stranded the go ahead run.

St. Clair (5-1) defeated Humber (3-1) by a score of 5-4.

The Saints got a complete game from Mitch Kramer and scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to steal the victory when Jeff Watkin scored on an overthrow of Crannel Jerald's sacrifice bunt.

The St. Clair men's baseball team will host the Windsor Lancers on Wednesday at Lacasse Park in exhibition play starting at 7 p.m. The Saints will continue with OCAA regular season play when they host George Brown College (Toronto) on Saturday with doubleheader game times of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh.
