ST. CLAIR 7, HUMBER 2

TORONTO - The St. Clair College men's baseball team moved their record to 5-1 atop the OCAA standings after splitting with Humber College (2-1) at Etobicoke's Connorvale Park Saturday afternoon. St. Clair won the opening game by a score of 7-2 but were shutout for the first time in its OCAA history 6-0 in the second game of the doubleheader.

Pitcher Kyle Breitner (Mississauga) spread out seven hits while surrendering two earned runs for St. Clair over six innings in the opener to earn the win. Curtis Cunningham (LaSalle/St. Thomas of Villanova), Kevin Dion (Newmarket) and Carson Burke (Tecumseh/St. Anne) each had a pair of hits in the victory for the Saints with Patrick Kibble (Windsor/Riverside) contributing two RBIs.

In the second game St. Clair could only muster a single hit from Matt Bondy (Amherstburg/General Amherst) with starting pitcher Seth Chauvin (Tecumseh/L'Essor) taking the loss on the mound. The Saints defence faltered with three fielding errors in the contest.

The Saints will finish their GTA road trip on Sunday with a pair of games at Kinsmen Memorial Stadium against Durham College.
