ST. CLAIR 6, HUMBER 0

The St. Clair College women's softball team swept a doubleheader Saturday in Hamilton against Mohawk College (2-4) and then split a pair in Brampton on Sunday afternoon against Humber College (6-2) for a 3-1 record on the weekend. The Lady Saints now hold an 8-2 record to lead the OCAA standings.

On Saturday, St. Clair had 36 hits total to help them to 12-3 and 25-4 wins over Mohawk College. Olivia Elliott (Oakville) and Jenna Pierce (London) each collected the pitching victories for the Saints.

On Sunday, the Saints opened with a 6-0 win over Humber College before falling 5-3 in the second game.  Elliott earned her fourth win of the season for St. Clair in the first game while Sara Stiller (Windsor/Holy Names) suffered the loss in the second game.

Madisyn Clark (Leamington) was a top hitter for the Saints on the weekend with eight hits in the four games.

The Saints are home next weekend to face Seneca College (North York) on Saturday and Conestoga College (Kitchener) on Sunday with doubleheader game times of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day at the campus diamond.
