Richard John was critical in the success of the Cambrian men's soccer team this past weekend, netting two goals on Saturday in a 3-0 win against Conestoga, and the opening goal in a 2-1 win on Sunday against the University of Toronto Mississauga. It marked his first goals in OCAA action since the 2015 season. The fourth-year winger was lethal when he got the ball, providing offence and leadership that lead Cambrian to two key away victories. At 2-2, the Golden Shield are in third place in the OCAA Central Division standings.

Jenna King, a fourth-year health and fitness promotion student, scored a win over St. Lawrence and a clean sheet draw against defending OCAA champion and No. 5 nationally-ranked Algonquin. After conceding an early goal to the Vikings, King shut the door the rest of the way in Durham's 6-1 victory in Kingston on Saturday. Her strong play continued into Sunday where she denied every Thunder opportunity in Durhams' 0-0 draw with Algonquin, helping pull the Lords (2-1-1) within one point of second place in the OCAA East Division.

Third-year fly half Justin Tota was all over the pitch in defending OCAA champion Sheridan's season-opening win over Conestoga last Wednesday, leading the charge defensively, while orchestrating an attack that put up 48 points. Tota scored the opening try four minutes in and was featured on two more in the second half, both of which could go on a shortlist of best tries of the season. He tacked on three converts to round out a 21-point day. Including post-season, Sheridan was won four straight against OCAA competition.
