'MOVING DAY' LIVES UP TO ITS MONIKER AT THE CCAA GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jayden Dudas of the Medicine Hat Rattlers is in first place of the men's individual competition heading into the final round at the 2021 CCAA Golf National Championships presented by PING.

After Dudas scored rounds of 73 and 70 earlier this week, the 2021 ACAC Player of the Year and CCAA All-Canadian fired a third round effort of 68 to sit at -1. Dudas holds a three-shot lead over Justin Grimard of Rafales de Terrebonne (+2) heading into day four at Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor, Ont.

There is a three-way tie for third place at +2 between the RSEQ champion Felix Bouchard of André-Laurendeau, Fanshawe's Mitchel Hanson and Humber's Matthew Bremer, who shot the tournament-low score of 67 on day three.

In the men's team competition, the Champlain St. Lawrence Lions (+29) are in first place and hold an 11-shot lead over the André-Laurendeau Boomerang (+40). The Medicine Hat Rattlers are in third place at +46.

In the women's individual competition, Anne-Sophie Bélanger (+10) of the Champlain St. Lawrence Lions leads the field by one stroke after the third round with a tournament-low round of 72. The 2021 RSEQ champion and CCAA All-Canadian has scored rounds of 79-75-72 through 54 holes and will be the final women's competitor to tee-off for the fourth and final round on Friday, Oct. 15th.

Three-time CCAA All-Canadian Hayley McCallum of the Humber Hawks shot 74 in the third round and is now tied for second place at +11 with teammate Madison Ouellette, who shot a 76. Sitting in fourth place at +18 is John Abbot College's Morgan Best, who shaved six strokes off her day two score to finish the third round with a 76.

Team OCAA 1 continues to lead the women's conference competition at +22. Team RSEQ 1 (+28) are in second place.

Champions and medalists will be decided during the fourth and final round of play on Friday, Oct. 15th at Ambassador Golf Club in Windsor, Ont.
