ST. CLAIR 99, FANSHAWE 84

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair men's basketball team won their second straight West Division game with a 97-84 victory over Fanshawe College (London) at the SportsPlex Friday night.

St. Clair exploded for 31 opening quarter points taking an 18-point lead. The Saints continued to keep the pressure on and after shooting 51 per cent from the floor found themselves ahead 48-33 going into halftime. St. Clair kept it rolling and increased their lead in the second half to 31 points (81-50) early in the fourth quarter. Fanshawe put up a big number in the fourth quarter but could get no closer than 12 points (96-84) in the game's final minute.

Balanced scoring allowed St. Clair to put five players in double figures with Anthony Limbombe (Windsor, Ont./St. Anne) leading the charge scoring 16 points while adding eight rebounds. Jermaine Lynch (Windsor, Ont./JL Forster) scored 15 points to go with four assists for the Saints with teammate Lance Drummonds (Hamilton, Ont.) scoring 12 points and pulling down six rebounds. Juwan Lynch (Windsor, Ont./JL Forster) and Andrés Bravo (Panama City, Panama) each chipped in with 10 points apiece for St. Clair.

The Saints capitalized on a few more turnovers but outdid Fanshawe in bench scoring 41-26 and shot a slightly better percentage over the course of game.

Fanshawe's Chris Parker (Toledo, Ohio) scored a game-high 27 points in a losing cause.
