HALIBURTON ECLIPSES 1,000-POINT MARK WITH DURHAM

OSHAWA, Ont. - In a come-from-behind victory over the Canadore Panthers, Brandon Halliburton's (Brampton, Ont.) 27 points also helped him eclipse the 1,000-point mark with the Durham College men's basketball program.

Now with 1,001 in 47 conference games played, he is fourth all-time at Durham College.

Anthony Batchelor continues to hold the Lords impressive scoring record of 1,833 (third all-time in OCAA), followed by Eric Smith's 1,666 (fifth all-time in OCAA) and Courtney Small's 1,045.

On Saturday night, a spectacular second half performance springboarded the Durham Lords to their third straight win, a 66-53 victory over the visiting Canadore Panthers.

Trailing 28-21 to open the second half, led by Halliburton's 21 second-half points, Durham mounted a ferocious comeback and ended the third quarter firmly in control. Despite the fourth kicking off with some early foul trouble and missed opportunities, the Lords settled in and closed out the Panthers in confident fashion.

Durham College will continue their winning ways when they visit the George Brown Huskies in Toronto on Nov. 28. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
