FANSHAWE 3, MOHAWK 1

ANCASTER, Ont. - Mike Sneddon scored twice as the Fanshawe Falcons downed the Mohawk Mountaineers in OCAA men's soccer at Redeemer on Saturday, Sept. 16.

Mohawk fell to 1-2 while Fanshawe improved to 2-0-1.

The Falcons got the opening goal in the 13th minute from Thomas Alvarez. Nicholas Domazetis tied the game for the Mountaineers. He teed up a blast which took a deflection before going in the net.

Sneddon put his team back in front with a couple of minutes to go to half time, then added the insurance marker midway through the second half.

"It was a tough game," said Mohawk head coach Carmine Lancia. "I didn't think that we were well organized or ready to play. And Fanshawe made us pay for it. We'll have to get ready for Tuesday (versus Redeemer in Ancaster)."
