NIAGARA 2, ST. CLAIR 0

WELLAND, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's soccer team are headed to the OCAA Playoffs next Saturday. The Saints played their final regular season game on Sunday on the road in Welland against the Niagara Knights.

In a game that the Saints had to win to move into third place and earn a home playoff game St. Clair came up just short falling 2-0 in an evenly played match.

Niagara went up 1-0 on a penalty kick after an unlucky bounce in the 6thminute. The Knights made it 2-0 in the 21st minute on a breakaway. The Saints played well the rest of the match but could not put one past the Niagara keeper.

With the loss the Saints end the regular season with a 5-5 record and in 4th place in the OCAA West Division. The St. Clair men are currently ranked 10th in the OCAA. Niagara end their season with a record of 7-2-1 in 2nd place. The Niagara men are currently ranked 6th in the OCAA.

St. Clair will now play either Durham or Centennial (2nd Place in East) on the road next Saturday. The winner of that match will advance to the OCAA Championship. Both Durham and Centennial play their final regular season games on Wednesday night.
