TORONTO - The following have been named Ontario Colleges
Athletic Association (OCAA) volleyball student-athletes of the week
for the period ending Sunday, March 18.
MALE: Terrel Bramwell, Humber
Reigning OCAA and national men's volleyball player of the year
Terrel Bramwell (Mississauga, Ont.) of Humber was
named Team West player of the game at the recent OCAA all-star
game. Bramwell contributed a match-high 16 points on 10 kills, five
aces and one block as Team West defeated Team East 3-1 (25-21,
25-17, 22-25, 25-21). Bramwell was tournament MVP at nationals, an
all-Canadian, an OCAA tournament all-star as well as an OCAA West
first-team all-star.
FEMALE: Brittany Ardron, Nipissing
Reigning OCAA rookie of the year Brittany Ardron
(Lakefield, Ont.) of Nipissing was named Team West player of the
game at the recent OCAA all-star game. Ardron led all players with
14 offensive points on seven kills, four serving aces and three
stuff blocks, while also adding 10 digs. Team West defeated Team
East 3-2 (13-25, 25-23, 25-20, 14-25, 15-13). Ardron was a
tournament all-star at the OCAA championship, as well as a West
region first-team all-star.
