WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's volleyball team remained unbeaten after they defeated the Humber Hawks on Saturday night at the SportsPlex in their OCAA home opener.
The Saints won the match by a score of 3-1. Game scores for St. Clair were 25-13, 25-10, 19-25 and 25-19.
It was a solid all around team effort by St. Clair. Jared Niziolek (Windsor) led the way offensively with 16 kills, one service ace, one stuff block and four digs. Rrezart Sadiku (Toronto) had a great match as well with nine kills on 14 attacks along with two service aces and five digs.
With the win the Saints are now 3-0 on the season. The St. Clair men are currently ranked third in Ontario and 12th in Canada. The loss dropped Humber's record to 1-1. The Hawks were ranked fourth in the OCAA heading into the match.
The men are next in action on Friday, Nov. 10 when the host the Sheridan Bruins at the SportsPlex at 8 p.m. Sheridan is 1-1 on the season and are ranked eighth in Ontario. The match will be live streamed on www.we-tv.ca.
