CONESTOGA 3, ST. CLAIR 2

KITCHENER, Ont. - The St. Clair men's volleyball team was on the road Sunday to take on the Conestoga College Condors in Kitchener.

In a tight exciting back and forth match the Saints came up just short losing 3-2. Set scores for the Condors were 21-25, 27-25, 25-16, 23-25 and 15-8. Rookie outside hitter Frankie Friesen (Staple; Tilbury District) led the way offensively with 15 kills, 3 service aces, 2 stuff blocks and 6 digs. Outside hitter Michael Knight (LaSalle; Sandwich) also had a big match with 15 kills, 3 stuff blocks and 3 digs.

With the loss the Saints record fell to 2-5 on the season.  Conestoga improved to 4-2 on the season with the win. The Condors are ranked 10th in the OCAA.

The Saints are next in action on Saturday and Sunday at home next weekend to wrap up their first half OCAA schedule. St. Clair will host Niagara College Saturday at 4 pm and Sheridan College on Sunday at 3 pm.
