ST. CLAIR 85, SAULT 22

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's basketball team is now 3-2 in OCAA West Division play after an 85-22 win over Sault College (Sault Ste. Marie) at the SportsPlex Sunday afternoon.

The Lady Saints led 44-13 by halftime and the short-benched Cougars could not make any inroads in the second half. St. Clair shot nearly as well from deep (48 per cent) as they did in total field goals (51 per cent). The Saints backed that up with stifling defence and actually held Sault scoreless in the fourth quarter.

St. Clair's Shannon Kennedy (Windsor/St. Joseph's) led all scorers with 12 points adding four assists. Logan Kucera (Chatham) scored 11 points for the Saints adding a couple of assists. Nicole Tamm (Windsor/Holy Names) and Jana Kucera (Chatham) each also reached double figures with 10 points apiece for St. Clair.

Sault's Cassidy Sabourin (Timmins) scored seven points in the loss.
