HUMBER 95, ST. CLAIR 59

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's basketball team could not stop the defending OCAA champions Sunday afternoon at the SportsPlex losing 95-59 to Humber College (Etobicoke).

The Lady Saints fell behind 24-12 after the first quarter and by halftime trailed 46-26. The Saints fashioned their best output in the third quarter but unfortunately could not close the gap any closer than a 15-point deficit. Humber held the advantage in all statistical categories but the most glaring was 12 three-point makes to just three for St. Clair. Humber also scored 28 points off 28 St. Clair turnovers in the game.

Rookie guard Logan Kucera (Chatham) had a nice opening game in the OCAA scoring 21 points to lead St. Clair offensively. Kucera added six rebounds, three assists and three steals in the game but she was the only Saint to reach double figures.

Humber's Ceejay Nofuente (Toronto) scored a game-high 22 points in the win.
