GEORGE BROWN 78, DURHAM 62

TORONTO - After a Wednesday night loss to the George Brown Huskies the Durham College women's basketball team finds themselves in the midst of finishing anywhere from third to seventh in the OCAA East Division.

Up against the first-place Huskies (12-1) for the third time this season, the Lords fell 78-62 to be swept by George Brown. In their previous meetings Durham lost by 92-86 and 84-65.

Tianna Sullivan and Aprille Deus caused the most difficulty for the Lords as the duo scored 23 and 20 points, respectively, in the George Brown victory. Deus also had 10 rebounds for the only double-double of the game.

Dekota Kirby (Markham, Ont.) was Durham's leading scorer with 13 points and narrowly missed a double-double with eight boards. Emily Chamberlain (Kingston, Ont.) finished with eight points and 10 rebounds.

In 2018, the Lords are now 1-2 after losses to the first and second place teams - their lone victory coming last Wednesday during Bell Let's Talk Night at home against the Loyalist Lancers. Friday, they will be playing to stay in the top half of the standings as they travel to Kingston to face the St. Lawrence Vikings.

So far this season the Lords have defeated the Vikings twice, although in their last meeting edged them by a slim three-point margin. Tip off is 6 p.m.
