ST. CLAIR 7, LAMBTON 0

WINDSOR, Ont, - The St. Clair women's soccer team continued their OCAA schedule on Wednesday evening taking on the Lambton Lions (Sarnia) at the Main Campus Field.

The St. Clair women had a strong match coming away with a convincing 7-0 win over the Lions. The Saints got off to a slow start until Cassandra Rose-Medeiros (London) put one past the Lambton keeper in the 25th minute.

The goal seemed to open the floodgates as St. Clair took control from there as Ryan Morneau (Windsor) made it 2-0 in the 29th minute. Jaclyn French (Windsor) the took over the match scoring four straight goals. Andie Albert (Melbourne) rounded out the scoring for the Saints.

Tory Brown (Windsor) earned the win and clean sheet in goal turning away all eight shots she faced including a couple tough saves in the second half.

The St. Clair women are currently ranked fifth in the OCAA and improved to 2-0-0 on the season with the win. The Saints resume their OCAA schedule on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. when they host the Niagara College Knights at the Main Campus Field.
