NIAGARA 2, ST. CLAIR 1

WELLAND, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's soccer team are headed to the OCAA Playoffs next Saturday. The Saints played their final regular season game on Sunday on the road in Welland against the Niagara Knights.

In a game that didn't matter to either team the Knights came out on top 2-1. St. Clair did not play a couple key players due to injury as the game had no impact on the standings.

Niagara went up 1-0 at the end of the first half in the 42nd minute. The Knights made it 2-0 in the 82nd minute. The Saints made in 2-1 in the 87th minute on a penalty kick by Jaclyn French (Windsor; Brennan).

With the loss the Saints end the regular season with a 3-5-2 record and in 4th place in the OCAA West Division. Niagara end their season with a record of 7-3 in 2nd place. The Niagara women are currently ranked 6th  in the OCAA.

St. Clair will now play either Humber or Sheridan (2nd Place in Central) on the road next Saturday. The winner of that match will advance to the OCAA Championship. Humber and Sheridan play Tuesday night to decide 1st and 2nd place in the Central Division.
