CCAA Bronze Medal Match: Lakeland Rustlers 3, Humber Hawks 0
The Lakeland Rustlers, CCAA champions a year ago, earned bronze with a straight-sets victory over the Humber Hawks.
The Rustlers wasted no time jumping to a 13-5 start lead by leftside, Ahnika Ruse, with six early kills. The Hawks tried to build back some momentum but couldn't catch the Rustlers as they finished the set, 25-15.
In the second set, the Hawks rose to the challenge, trading points and staying in the game until 21-20. A couple of blocks and service aces by the Rustlers ended the second set 25-20.
Fatigue was definitely a factor in the third set as both teams were playing their second match of the day and fourth of the tournament. Still pounding the ball, both teams pushed each other to the limit.
Outstanding play from both teams to the very end, the Rustlers outlasted the Hawks with a 25-16 victory earning them a well deserved Bronze medal.
Player of the Game for the Humber Hawks with seven kills and three digs went to Brynne Spence-Coleman. Setter, Rae Sigurdson, with 39 assists, one kill, one block and three digs took home the player of the game honour for the Lakeland Rustlers.

CCAA Bronze Semi-Final: Humber Hawks 3, MSVU Mystics 0
The second match of the day had the MSVU Mystics and Humber Hawks playing each other the right to play for Bronze later Saturday.
After losing a very hard fought match with Douglas College the night before, the Hawks came out swinging despite losing captain and libero Kyla Wilkins to injury from the previous game.
While the Mystics worked hard, they struggled with consistency throughout the match. Strong offensive play and blocking from the powerful Hawks front row were too much for the Mystics to handle. The Hawks swept the match 25-17, 25-20 and 25-21. They will meet the Lakeland Rustlers to battle for the bronze.
Jasmine Smith was awarded player of the game with 6 kills, 3 digs and 1 ace from the MSVU Mystics. Middle, Nicole Collard was the player of the game for the Hawks with 7 kills, 1 dig, 1 block and 1 assist.

CCAA Semi-Final: Douglas Royals 3, Humber Hawks 1
The opening set between the Hawks and the Royals started with a bang, setting the stage for a barn burner of a match. The teams traded points back in forth throughout the game. Down 23-21, the Hawks dug deep and battled back to take the first set 26-24.
The Royals rebounded with a quick lead in the second set never letting the Hawks back in the game, winning 25-16 to even the score at one set a piece.
The third and fourth sets were an unbelievable display of athleticism on both sides with explosive attacking and relentless defence. Ulitmately the Royals prevailed, winning both of the closing sets by a score of 25-23. The Royals will now meet the VIU Mariners in the national final tomorrow night.
Player of the game for the Hawks was Breanna Golding, with 19 kills and 12 digs. For Douglas College, the honour went to Vania Silva dos Santos de Oliveira, who had 20 kills and 21 digs.

CCAA Quarter-Final: Humber Hawks 3, Élans de Garneau 2
No. 6-ranked Élans de Garneau took a commanding lead, taking the first two sets 29-27 and 25-21.
The next two sets proved to be an exciting battle with Humber coming back to tie the match 2-2 with scores of 25-14 and 25-17. The final set went back and forth with the Hawks winning the fifth set 15-13 earning them a berth in the semifinals where they face the Douglas Royals.
Amassing a spectacular 20 kills and 13 digs, Hawks co-captain Brynne Spence-Coleman was named player of the game. Roxane St-Amand was player of the game for Garneau with seven kills and five digs.
The Humber Hawks will play in the second semifinal game at 8 p.m. (10 p.m. ET) against the Douglas Royals.
The Elans de Garneau will be playing on the bronze side against the GPRC Wolves at 3 p.m.
