DURHAM 3, CANADORE 2

OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College women's volleyball team improve to a perfect 2-0 on the season as they rallied from behind to defeat the Canadore Panthers 3-2 (16-25, 16-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-13) on Sunday afternoon.

Jess Venhuizen was all over the floor for the Panthers, sending 27 attacks over the net, while teammates Sydney White and Katie Albert hit 24 each. Ashlyn Kadlecik earned 33 assists over the course of the match. Venhuizen and Albert finished with 11 and 10 kills respectively.

The Lords saw a strong performance from second-year Jessica Joensen (Pickering) who recorded eight kills on 27 total attacks and an ace, while first-year environmental tech student Althea Boncheff (Alliston) picked up four kills on 18 total attacks and a block.
