GEORGIAN CROSS COUNTRY KEEPS BUILDING TOWARDS PROVINCIALS

KING CITY, Ont. - The Georgian Grizzlies men's and women's cross country running teams took part in the Seneca Invitational on Oct. 15 in King City, Ont.

It was another good showing for the Grizzlies with the women's team finishing in sixth place and the men's team finishing in seventh.

Adam Armstrong was the top placing runner on the Grizzlies men's side finishing in 17th overall by completing the eight kilometre track in 29:19. Tyler Thomson (37th) and Adam Skinner (47th) also finished inside the Top 50.

Georgian's Serafima Stilman and Meaghan Evon finished in a dead heat, just two seconds apart in 25th and 26th place respectively in the women's race.

The Grizzlies will continue to prepare as they get set to compete at the 2016 OCAA Cross Country Championships presented by belairdirect which take place Oct. 29 hosted by Seneca College.
