EXCELLENT CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING FOR MOHAWK

KING CITY, Ont. - In their best overall performance of the cross country season so far, the Mohawk Mountaineers men's and women's teams both finished fourth in the team competition at the Seneca Invitational cross country race in King City, Ont., on Saturday.

Sixteen men's teams and 17 women's teams competed.

Mohawk's Sarah Beairsto finished third in the women's five kilometre event in a time of 22:09. Mary Strain of Cambrian won in 20:45.

The women had a field of 96 runners.

Chris Caddey of Mohawk was 12th in the men's eight kilometre competition. He was timed at 29:09. Winner Seth Marcaccio of Fanshawe crossed the finish line in 26:44.
