GEORGIAN CROSS COUNTRY WRAPS UP SEASON AT PROVINCIALS

KING CITY, Ont. - The Georgian Grizzlies men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2016 OCAA Cross Country Championships presented by belairdirect on Saturday, Oct. 29 in King City, Ont.

In the women's five kilometre race the top Georgian runner was Serafima Stilman who finished in 34th place, followed by Meaghan Evon (38th), Courtney Sherk (43rd), Jessica Borgers (58th), Desiree Allen (63rd) and Robin Whiffing (64th).

Overall the women's team finished seventh place.

Adam Armstrong was the top placing male for Georgian in the eight kilometre race with a 38th-place finish. Adam Skinner (46th), Gill Garrido (70th), Sean Barich (75th), Justin Dawson (82nd) and Tyler Thomson (101st) rounded out the Grizzlies contingent at the event.

The men's team finished the championship in 12th place overall.
