It was a provincial championship that no one except the Durham Lords saw coming. After having to go on the road to defeat St. Clair 3-1 in the OCAA crossovers, Durham kept its momentum alive, beating previously undefeated Fanshawe 2-1 then Niagara 1-0 before edging Algonquin 2-1 in the OCAA gold medal match. It is Durham's first OCAA men's soccer championship since 1997.
