In literally the first sanctioned OCAA competition of any kind in 18 months, Georgian's Taylor posted a one-over 73 at Lakeridge Links in Whitby, Ont., to win the DC Open by two strokes on Sept. 13. Taylor's two-shot advantage was also the difference for the Georgian Grizzlies as they took home the men's team title as well. Taylor and his teammates didn't have a lot of time to rest on their laurels as they are now chasing gold at the OCAA Golf Championships, currently being held at Crimson Ridge in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. A Georgian golfer has not won the event since 2012.
