Carreiro was named the Most Valuable Player at the OCAA Women's Soccer Championship in London, Ont. The fourth-year goalkeeper made five saves in inclement conditions in a 1-0 semi-final victory over Humber on Oct. 29. The following evening, Carreiro came up big in the gold medal match making 10 saves, including a second half penalty kick and a dangerous rebound to allow Fanshawe to pull out a 2-1 victory over St. Lawrence for a third straight OCAA crown. Carreiro and the Falcons will now compete for a national title later this month in Vaughan, Ont.
