Tessel helped lead the Mohawk Mountaineers men's cross country team to a bronze medal finish at the Centennial Invitational on Oct. 15. Under the leadership of the second-year runner, the Mountaineers have improved every race this year and are in prime position to medal at the OCAA championships, taking place Oct. 29 in Thunder Bay. Tessel finished in 11th place at Centennial in a time of 28:04.3, just over two minutes behind the frontrunner. It's the second straight race that Tessel has finished 11th, including the Fanshawe Invitational on Oct. 1.
