A three-sport athlete at Humber College, Filomena Aprile was a winner that brought success to all the teams she was a part of.

In four years at Humber she won eight OCAA provincial championships for the Hawks. Aprile played for the basketball, outdoor and indoor soccer teams at her time at Humber and was a main contributor on those teams.

Her championships include three OCAA women's outdoor soccer championships, three women's indoor soccer championships and two basketball championships. Aprile was also an OCAA soccer All-Star in 1997.

She graduated from the Recreation and Leisure management program in 2001 and continued her education in the United States earning her degree and then received her teaching degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Aprile was inducted to the Humber College Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. She is currently an assistant coach with the outdoor and indoor soccer teams at Humber.
