Mary Hinan-Grose of Fleming College was a dedicated OCAA volunteer thoughout 1970s and into the early 1980s.

She was an avid supporter of the OCAA varsity curling program and served as the Senior Convenor for curling in 1974-75, 1975-76, 1976-77 and again 1981-82.

Hinan-Grose also sat as the Chair of the Operating Procedures and Sport Rules Committee in 1978-79, 1979-80, and 1980-81. In this role, she collaborated with Rob Stinson of Loyalist College to take on the vital task of writing the operating procedures manual and sport rules manual. These manuals serve as the reference point for today's governance of the OCAA.

In 1986, Mary Hinan-Grose received a Shield Award from the OCAA in recognition of her valuable contributions to the association.
