Alan Hughes was a force for the Seneca College men's soccer program in the two seasons he participated in. Hughes found success right off the bat, capturing OCAA gold in his first season for the Braves.

The following season, Hughes found success again, earning his second OCAA title and was named an OCAA league all-star. Nationally, he was named a CCAA championship tournament all-star after his team claimed the CCAA silver medal.

Seneca College honoured him as their team's MVP and inducted him into Seneca's Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the OCAA Men's Soccer All-Millennium Team.
