Brenton Lowe was a member of the Centennial men's basketball team from 1981 to 1984, and was second in team scoring in each of his three seasons.

He averaged 13.7 points per game his rookie season. In 1982-83, Brenton averaged 16.0 points per game, good for sixth among all OCAA players. Centennial won its first of two consecutive OCAA titles, with Brenton being named a championship all-star.

He averaged 13.6 points per game his final season as Centennial finished in first place with a record of 21-3, successfully defending its provincial crown in a best-of-three final against Humber College. Brenton was once again named a championship all-star. Centennial went on to win its first and only national championship, with Brenton being named championship MVP. He was later named Centennial's male athlete of the year.

Brenton finished his career with 848 points. He was twice named an OCAA second-team league all-star and team MVP.
