Kaitlyn McKenna played for the Niagara Knights women's basketball program for five seasons. She was a five-time OCAA West Division All-Star, ending her career with 970 points, good for third all-time in OCAA career scoring.

In 2005-06, Kaitlyn was named OCAA Rookie of the Year as well as the Niagara Rookie of the Year, averaging a team-high 12.1 points per game as Niagara won the West Division championship. She was also named an OCAA West Division First-Team All-Star, OCAA All-Academic and CCAA Academic All-Canadian.

She was named an OCAA West Division First-Team All-Star the following two seasons. In 2007-08, she became the first Niagara female athlete and fifth Knight ever to be named a CCAA All-Canadian, also receiving the Niagara College Athlete of Distinction and Female Athlete of the Year. Kaitlyn was near the top of league scoring that season averaging 16.4 points per game.

Kaitlyn returned to the program for the 2009-10 season and was recognized as an OCAA West Division Second-Team All-Star. In her final season, Kaitlyn became Niagara's all-time leading scorer. She was once again named an OCAA West Division First-Team All-Star and Niagara College Female Athlete of the Year.

Kaitlyn averaged 14.9 points per game during her career, along with 347 total rebounds her final three seasons (when rebounds was an official OCAA statistic).
