Pat Sewell was a member of the Fanshawe men's basketball program for three consecutive seasons beginning in 2004-05. He had an immediate impact, leading the team in scoring averaging 14.8 points per game, and being named an OCAA West Division Second-Team All-Star. He was subsequently named Fanshawe Men's Basketball Rookie of the Year.

Pat was named an OCAA West Division First-Team All-Star during the 2005-06 season as Fanshawe finished first in the division with an 11-3 record. He once again led the Falcons in scoring averaging 18.4 points per game and was named Fanshawe Men's Basketball MVP.

Pat enjoyed both personal and team success in his final season. Fanshawe had an undefeated regular season record of 14-0 en route to an OCAA championship. Pat led the team in scoring once again, averaging 15.5 points per game. He was named the OCAA Player of the Year, CCAA Player of the Year, CCAA All-Canadian, OCAA West Division First-Team All-Star and was named OCAA Championship MVP recording a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the OCAA gold medal game, a 71-65 victory over St. Lawrence-Kingston. Pat was named Fanshawe Men's Basketball MVP for a second time, and Fanshawe College Male Athlete of the Year.

Overall, Pat scored 636 points over his career, averaging 16.3 in 39 regular season games. Fanshawe had an overall league record of 33-7 with Pat on the team.
