Nigel Ward-Paige was an integral part of the cross country team at Georgian College throughout his years as an assistant and head coach from 1997 to 2009.

He joined the Georgian coaching staff in 1997 as they tried to reintroduce the sport to the college.

With Ward-Paige as coach, the cross country team won Georgian College team of the year twice along with winning four provincial titles (2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005) with the women's cross country running team.
