Box Score SUDBURY, Ont. - The Durham College women's soccer team swept their northern road trip with a 2-1 win over the Cambrian Golden Shield on Sunday afternoon in Sudbury.
Durham opened the scoring with back-to-back goals from Jenna Wetherill (Oshawa, Ont.) and Natassha Hassenstein (Oshawa, Ont.), jumping ahead 2-0 in the first half. Before the break though Cambrian broke through to make it a 2-1 game.
Following halftime, the Lords defensive back line and fifth-year keeper Jenna King (Ajax, Ont.) stood tall as no goals were scored in the second 45.
After winning their third consecutive road game, the Lords now return home to Vaso's Field for two games this weekend beginning with a matchup versus the St. Lawrence Vikings on Friday, Sept. 27. Kick-off is set for 6 p.m..
